Canvas has a beautiful problem. People love it because it feels natural, strong, textured, and honest. A canvas tote, duffel bag, apron bag, tool pouch, or outdoor carry bag can look better with age, not worse. But when rain hits the surface, buyers quickly stop caring about the “natural hand feel” and start asking a much simpler question: will my belongings stay dry? For brands developing custom canvas bags, water resistance is not just a fabric feature. To improve canvas water resistance, brands should start with the right canvas weight and weave, then choose a suitable treatment such as wax, DWR spray, PU coating, acrylic coating, silicone finish, waterproof lining, or seam sealing. Is Canvas Naturally Water Resistant?

Water Resistant vs Waterproof
